Designer Shane Newton, the down-to-earth guy with an open mind, gave us an unconventional, fun-tastic, dark and a little disturbing at times (in a good way) show-stopping opening parade to remember last night by.
The minimalistic Japanese-inspired asymmetric cuts and seam placements, perfectly draped hooded cardi’s and delectable use of Australian merino wools, cottons, linens and bamboos all outshone the drama of the tattoo clad models with their whip-cracking and temper tantrums on the runway.
I was fortunate enough to wear the Draped Cowl Neck Wool Cardigan (one of Zsadar’s amazing pieces) last night and cannot bare the thought of giving it back, so Shane if you’re reading this: consider it SOLD! I could literally die in it.
The high energy show was assembled with 3 other designers which clearly it needed to be a stand alone show! That is all.
