The Langham, Sydney Undergoes A $30 Million Make-Over

The Langham, Sydney has had its doors closed since July and has been undergoing a $30 million make-over and transformation – with the landmark hotel set to reopen their famous Kent Street doors on Tuesday, 2nd of December.

The harbourside hotel is currently seeing their exclusive interior spaces internationally redesigned by GA Design (who is working directly with luxury building experts, ICMG and The Langham Executive Team) and paired with eclectic interior furnishings.

Every corner of this vibrant hotel is being given a grand treatment with each and every light switch, fitting, fixture, chandelier and every piece of marble set to be replaced with a more superior and stylish product.

The Langham, Sydney General Manager, Ms. Sonia Lefevre said, “GA’s vision, in conjunction with The Langham brand power, is set to create a new addition to the Sydney luxury sector that will transcend the market.”

Hand curated art by Sotheby’s will span the walls while afternoon tea will be a delight when served for guests on fine tableware by Wedgwood. Also on offer will be their new fine dining concept; Kent Street Kitchen, an exclusive new day spa, five brand-new and lavish event spaces plus Sydney’s largest lead-in guestrooms with The Langham’s signature terraces and balconies gifting a taste of modern luxury.

And last but not least, one of the biggest developments is their newly exposed harbour views which will drench the hotel in light and bring the hotel a modern luxe feel.

“No expense has been spared in creating this elegant harbourside retreat for our guests.  The Langham, Sydney hasn’t just undergone a refurbishment. This is a grand transformation.” said Lefevre.

The Langham, Sydney will reopen on Tuesday, 2nd of December.

Shortly thereafter – upon discovering that a vast majority of the fashion industry were being out-shadowed by the commercial conglomerates of the world – Vicky (who equally grew tired of having no creative freedom herself) set out to create her own digital publishing platform that focused on promoting the incredible talents of all creatives within the fashion industry. Which is how The Fashion Catalyst began in 2009.
