Sandal connoisseurs rejoice – Italian made sandal brand, Sofia Capri opens up their pretty pop-up boutique on King Street in the Perth CBD with thanks to The King Street Precinct.
Brimming with an abundance of high quality and stylish sandals from their recent 2015 Spring Summer collection, the doors to the short-stay store opened earlier in the week to celebrate the occasion.
Guests enjoyed an evening of beautiful accordion music, a celebratory vino or two and exquisite Italian cuisine (such as prosciutto, cheese and grapes and then finished off with a delectable Gelato dessert).
Plus the company of co-owners, Silvana Molaro and Rossella Frigerio – who quite obviously know a thing or two about the age-old art of the ever-stylish Capri sandal.
Both with a professional background stemming from the likes of Christian Dior, Salvatore Ferragamo and Vivienne Westwoood, the pair, who after a chance encounter on the island itself, set out to master the craft of this simple yet stylish accessory with the creation of Sofia Capri footwear.
Attributing the island’s heyday of the 1960’s (think Sophia Loren, Brigitte Bardot and Jacqueline Kennedy) and incorporating it into every element of the brand.
Each pair of these classic sandals are made-to-order and literally handcrafted on the isle of Capri by a local family of artisans using only fine leathers and materials handpicked from across Italy.
Currently open in the heart of Perth CBD King Street precinct until Saturday 28th of February, 2015. Sofia Capri celebrates summer for the first time in Australia with a taste of luxury handmade Capri sandals and their artisan on-hand to offer you their second to none, made-to-measure stylish sandal service.
