Anyone that knows me well knows that I’m quite quirky, and that I am a lot more than meets the eye – that I secretly love to succeed at the geekiest of hobbies and I’ve got an insatiable appetite for the finer things in life…but really, who doesn’t?
Personally, I like to spend hours researching and looking at items like Pens and Pacers (the kind that are platinum, out of reach for most and write like liquid calligraphy gold). A friend recently said to me, “who would spend $1200 on a Pen?!” as I quickly and quite shockingly exclaimed, “I would!” And in fact, I would quite easily spend that on a Pacer!
So it comes as no surprise to confess; my occasional lunch time affair with the Perth Mint.
Yes that’s right, that stunning inner city refinement on the east side of the Perth CBD, to which abounds lots of beautiful and quirky gifts – ones that don’t cost a Mint (excuse the pun) – like this Floating Gold Leaf in a Bottle:
Gold Kangaroo Paw Pendant:
Perth Mint Cufflinks:
Silver Endure Necklace with Sixpence Charm:
Forever Love coin:
And an abundance of eye candy. So even if you don’t have the cash to spend on these and other items, go and take a browse at the Perth Mint. It’s a must-see at least once a month!
