Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia (MBFWA) 2015 | Zhivago

Australian based, international women’s wear label, Zhivago presents another head turning ready-to-wear collection on the runway at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia (MBFWA) 2015.

The stand-out Spring Summer 2015/16 collection – called Eye of Horus, which is the ancient Egyptian symbol of protection, royal power and good health, was on par with co-designers, Lara Kovacevich and Lydia Tsvetnenko‘s previously daring avant-garde collections.

Celebrating strong female aesthetics with lady-like pencil skirts, rompers, short sets and show-stopping floor length gowns that were all adorned by either customary centre splits, plenty of embellishments and/or thigh high side slits and paired back with warrior inspired thigh-length high heel sandals in shimmering gold and black tones.

Personifying protection and power, each precision cut garment was at its finest with plunging necklines and strong, bold shoulders in a varied palette of alluring emerald and military greens, shimmering golds and chic crisp whites that were oft finished with sports-luxe straps and dramatic architectural shoulder pads.
