If you’re looking for Perth’s best hair salon then stay tuned to this Maurice Meade salon review.
It’s the eternal search every female is eager to accomplish; a salon and stylist that we can remain faithful to. Not only that, but a salon that offers the ability to allow us to walk out the door feeling better than when we walked in. And to remain happy right up until our next visit too.
So in a bid to conquer my search I decided to take a trip down memory lane to Maurice Meade on Hay Street in Perth.
When I initially booked in I felt a sense of guilt due to the fact that I used to frequent the salon quite some years ago. However, it felt as if I was right at home when I was offered an appointment with their head colourist Jarrad. And the experience only got better…
From the moment I closed my car door out the front of the salon, I was greeted with a smiling receptionist (which I must admit is almost rare these days). From there I was promptly taken through and seated with a drink of my choice in front of a flat screen TV and some current reading material… While I waited less than 5 minutes for Jarrad.
Once I expressed my love of balayage, and that I’d been less than happy with the last balayage from a different salon, Jarrad proceeded with a Personalised Colour Chemistry consultation. In all my years of hair modeling and having my hair coloured I had never been given one before and this made all the difference.
You see, I have quite dark brown eyes with a pale complexion so I wasn’t quite sure which hair colour actually suited me best. Jarrad eliminated this and my faith in him surpassed my exceptions!
The entire experience at Maurice Meade was seamless.
I’m quite old-fashioned when it comes to customer service and there is definitely a certain standard that I expect when trusting stylists with my tresses. To me, it’s literally the small things that count. Like that there was no dye left on my face or that I was frequently asked if I’d like a new refreshment. And that the stylist listened to me and advised accordingly in non-stylist terms.
But, most importantly, that my hair is AH-MAZING!
All in all, my Maurice Meade salon experience was exceptional and well, my quest is now over!
My only gripe (if you can call it a gripe!) would be that the flat screen TV had Meet the Fockers playing on repeat. My personal preference would have been to see styling tuitions or the latest fashion runways.
That aside though, I still left the salon with some much needed styling products, a beaming smile and a hair style everybody cannot stop complimenting me on.
Thank you Maurice Meade.
