Maurice Meade Salon Review

If you’re looking for one of Perth’s best hair salons then stay tuned to this Maurice Meade salon review.

It’s the eternal search every female is eager to accomplish; a salon and stylist that we can remain faithful to. Not only that, but a hair salon that allows us to walk out the door feeling better than when we walked in. And to remain with happy hair right up until our next visit too.

So in a bid to conquer that search, I decided to take a trip down memory lane to Maurice Meade on Hay Street in Perth.

When I initially booked in I felt a sense of guilt due to the fact that I used to frequent the salon quite some years ago. However, it felt as if I was right at home when I was offered an appointment with their head colourist Jarrad. And the experience only got better…

From the moment I closed my car door out the front of the salon, I was greeted with a smiling receptionist (which I must admit is almost rare these days).

From there I was promptly taken through and seated with a drink of my choice in front of a flat screen TV with some ‘current’ reading material. And I waited less than 5 minutes before being joined by my hair stylist, Jarrad.

While chatting with Jarrad about what I wanted, I expressed my love of balayage. And that I’d been less than happy with the last balayage from a different hair salon. Jarrad then proceeded with a Personalised Colour Chemistry consultation. Which in all of my years of hair modelling and having my hair coloured, I had never been given one before. So this alone made all the difference.

And you see, I have quite dark brown eyes with a pale complexion, so I wasn’t quite sure which hair colour actually suited me best. So when Jarrad eliminated this, my faith in him surpassed any exceptions.

From then on, the entire experience at Maurice Meade was seamless.

I’m quite old-fashioned when it comes to customer service. And there is definitely a certain standard that I expect when trusting stylists with my tresses. To me, it’s the small things that count. Like the fact that there was no dye left on my face. And that I was frequently asked if I’d like a new refreshment.

Oh and that the stylist listened to me and advised accordingly in non-stylist terms! So this mere mortal could understand.

But, most importantly, that my hair turned out AMAZING!

All in all, my Maurice Meade salon experience was exceptional! So now my quest is now over!

With my only gripe (if you can call it a gripe!) being that the flat screen TV had ‘Meet the Fockers’ playing. My personal preference would have been to see styling tuitions or the latest fashion runways. But that’s no big deal. Because that aside, I still left the salon with some much needed styling products, a beaming smile AND a hair style everybody cannot stop complimenting me on.

Thank you Maurice Meade.
