Presented by Harpers Bazaar, Runway 7 was all about glitz and glamour, featuring some of Australia’s most loved designers including catwalk-king Alex Perry, Aurelio Costarella, Scanlan & Theodore, Maticevski, Collette Dinnigan and Rachel Gilbert.
Sequins, leather, feathers and a hint of lace were a consistent theme amongst designers, highlighting clear trends for the season ahead.
Alex Perry chose to unveil his glamorous S/S 2012-2013 collection working with a neutral colour palette, unlike his bright and very memorable 2011 collection.
Aurelio Costarella did not disappoint either, with a luxurious display of feathers, metallics and leather, all working harmoniously together across beautifully structured jackets, skirts and necklines.
While Scanlan & Theodore brought even more sequins, feathers and leather to the runway, interpreting this season’s hottest trends with more of an abstract edge. A burst of deep, luxurious winter hues completed the collection and was without doubt a crowd-pleaser.
