Challenger TAFE Graduating Student’s Fashion Parade: Architextile, Part 1

On Thursday 12th November Challenger TAFE‘s graduating fashion students of 2009 showcased a visual feast at the Deckchair Theatre in Fremantle.

Western Australia’s fresh graduating designers; Anna Bona, Anna Excell, Annie Lim, Emma Hicken, Felicia Nadi, Isabel O’Neill, Kristy Gray, Louise McMahon, Mallory Maduka-Ike, Mihirini Dammulla, Rebecca Potts, Therima L. Noorgat and Veronica Soloman, were given the opportunity to explore how architecture relates to fabric design and garment construction in a parade called Architextile.

The evening represented two years of hard work in the construction and design of garments, and also boasted previous designers who have gone on to establish and maintain popular fashion labels such as Story by Tang, Me and Mister Martini, Little Gracie and The Butcher and the Crow since graduating from Challenger TAFE.

Congratulations to all the graduating students, the evening was seamless (no pun intended).

Also, Congratulations to the winner of the ‘Highly Commended’ award; Felicia Nadi
