Winter is undoubtedly about Art and Perth has an abundance of fabulous (and famous) art exhibitions at the moment, like Picasso to Warhol: Fourteen Modern Masters from The Museum of Modern Art, New York.
Picasso to Warhol: Fourteen Modern Masters is the exciting launch exhibition of the Australian exclusive partnership between AGWA and MoMA. Featuring over 120 works by fourteen of modern art’s most iconic artists including Matisse, Picasso, Pollock and Warhol, this exhibition presents a world-class introduction to the figures who redefined the very idea of art.
Savour some well-known favourites such as Warhol’s Campbell’s Soup Cans and discover some new friends, such as Léger’s Big Julie. Encompassing a wide range of art movements including Cubism, Abstract Expressionism and Pop art, Picasso to Warhol will leave you inspired and invigorated with a renewed sense of wonder at what modern art can be.
Running from 16th June through till 3rd December, 2012.
Aurelio Costarella has opened up a new concept store in the Perth CBD at the old Newspaper House on St Georges Terrace.
The store will cater for the “working class city girl” – who obviously has good taste and a real sense of style!
The space is absolutely divine and fitting to a T with old newspapers and some of the most exquisite antique pieces from Howard Antiques and Fine Art in Fremantle.
The Costarella Concept store will only be around for 86 days so make sure you make the most of it city girls!! Oh and the new AC collection will be in-store in 2 months. Happy shopping.

The exhibition, by self taught six time Archibald Prize nominee, has two parts to it; 1950′s children’s book illustrations and the second being nude females. Quite a contrast I hear you say?! The pieces are mesmerising and will take your breathe away so go take a look for yourself.
Kaleidoscope runs through till July 12 and admission is free to the public.
The collection, exclusively created by the talented duo behind Martini + Coz; Natasha Hinett and Erica Allia, has captured a free spirit of easy wearing pieces derived from their love of Vintage and Op shopping.
Raspberry + Pop is available in-store at Method Clothing in Mt Lawley – and this is one label I’m tipping will become widely known and adorned by every Perthanality so snare your wardrobe pieces fast!

Personally I did a spot of online shopping last night but upon awakening this morning, today looks like a superb day to stay indoors (in bed) and do some online shopping at ASOS – with dresses, shoes, pants, leggings and more (literally thousands to choose from) and free shipping to Australia, I simply cannot resist!
All too often I see amateurs take on dramatic eyeshadow looks that simply don’t look good, let alone classy. It’s one thing to have a pop of colour and another to look, well…let’s not insult anyone here.
Here is a short video I found on Youtube that will show you how to blend like a professional make-up artist.
My best tips are to invest in a set of good brushes and then if you’re going to go outrageous with a vibrant colour then make sure to actually blend and not just pack on (and remember: it’s never cool NOT to blend).
