Mystical Lotus 2009 Fashion Show

In aid of the St. Vincent de Paul Society School Support Program, merging WA designers from the West Australian Institute of Fashion & Textiles took to the runway for the Mystical Lotus 2009 Fashion Show at the Perth Town Hall.

Up and coming WA Designers battled it out for the ‘Best Use of the Saree’ award and the ‘People’s Choice’ award.  The winners were:

Winner – Cynthia Chong

Runner Up – Henrietta Truscett

People’s Choice Award – Serena Howard

Hosted by Tania Jeyamohan and presentations by David Fitzgerald, Vice-President of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, and the Hon, Kate Doust MLC, the event raised a proud $20,000.  This will assist young people with school and education related expenses including uniforms, books, stationery, learning resources and excursion, and school fees.
