POPSICLE!

The countdown has begun, proceeded and arrived with the first of 53 events; POPSICLE! on Wednesday 2nd September 2009 at Northbridge’s Photography Centre.

POPSICLE! – an exclusive and fully-functional boutique, housed in a vintage bus, will be stocked with one-of-a-kind fashion and accessories from the cutting edge William Street scene. The POPSICLE! Bus is an extension of the extremely successful POPSICLE! pop-up shop that debuted at the 2008 Perth Fashion Festival.

The mobile boutique will showcase the latest creations of some of Western Australia’s most talented young designers including: Plonk, MolliPop, Fallen Feathers, Lady Lascivious, Suzi Homemaker, Martha and Lilly, Jessica Jubb, Osier, Skullduggery, Champ + Rosie, Boom, Relative Magazine, Kingbrown Magazine and Love is My Velocity.

The event kicked off Perth Fashion Festival 2009 and will bring Perth alive for the 11th year running. While invited and distinguished guests such as Lisa Scaffidi, and many others from Perth’s exclusive fashion industry were in attendance, the public of Perth can experience the festival over the next 7 days with an array of free, ticketed and invitation only events.

POPSICLE! will invigorate the city’s urban spaces during the Perth Fashion Festival and will be found daily from 10am to 3pm at the following locations:

Friday 4 September – Wolf Lane off Murray Street, Perth
Saturday 5 September (until 5pm) – Arcade 189 James Street entrance, Northbridge
Sunday 6 September – Perth Cultural Centre, Perth
Monday 7 September – QV1 Building Plaza, corner Milligan & Hay Street, Perth
Tuesday 8 September – Stirling Gardens, Barrack Street, Perth
Wednesday 9 September – Perth Train Station, Wellington Street, Perth
Thursday 10 September – Perth Town Hall, Barrack Street, Perth
